In my Evanston, I see trees and a lot more trees, when one dies there is another one to take its place. There is snow on the ground and Lake Michigan has sheets of ice covering the enormous lake. In my Evanston, I walk by the strip mall on Central Street full of restaurants and coffee shops. In my Evanston, I run through James Park to watch the baseball games and sled down Mt. Trashmore. I skateboard by the water tower and through the many bushes lining down the block. In my Evanston, I ride in my mom's black car into downtown Chicago and see the WGN radio broadcasters record from the windows. In my Evanston, I see my family, either shoveling the sidewalk, giving me a hug, or my sister talking to me until I want to jump out the window. I also see my home, our normal house with a small backyard, the only place that will be my home. In my Evanston, I see Chute Middle School, where I walk to every morning, and learn as much as I can. |
