In my photo you see a green tomato surrounded by green leaves. The leaf in front has green splotches on it. The leaves protect the tomato from things that want to eat it. The stem is fuzzy. The sun glints off the top of the tomato.
The angle of view that this photo is taken from is a close-up. It closes in on the thing you are taking a picture of. This is my favorite photo because it focuses on the tomato and blurs the other leaves and vines surrounding it. Also, it has a pure, rich color to it. in my Evanston i have many adventures in many different places
i swim in Lake Michigan, where the water is made of emeralds i lay in the sun on the sand, watching the clouds move above me i tromp down main street where many different shops stand at attention i fly through the air on a swing in Eiden Park i skip through Downtown, happily observing the many buildings and people i quietly slip through the aisles of books at the main library i sink my teeth into a macaroon at Benisons Bakery i delight in the ferrets play at Thee Fish Bowl i finger intricate African baskets at Ten Thousand Villages i marvel at the wonders in the basement of Dave's Rock ShopDave's Rock Shop i leap across the dance floor at Dance Center Evanston i watch a garden grow, nourished by the creativity of the people i wander through a peaceful neighborhood, where the people cherish everyone i watch as summer surrenders towards autumn i tend to a garden, where green tomatoes reach towards the sun, trying for that delicious red i practice my flute, trying to make the people passing by my house happier i watch as the rain falls down hard, splashing in puddles in the dip on the sidewalk i care for young children in the basement of an apartment building i send money to Operation Smile, trying to represent the kindness of Evanstonians i ride my bike through the streets of Evanston, helping save the world i walk with friends towards Chute, my school i stand, barefoot in the dew on the fresh green grass i sing hymns in my church, Reba Place Church, where everyone is friends i wonder at the beauty of a tall, old cotton tree in my backyard i wonder who planted it, who cared for it, who let it grow, never cutting it down maybe it's the person who began Evanston, or maybe it's just a random person who wanted to help it grow but whoever it was, i know they helped make Evanston what it is now because even though it's just one tree, it helps make a difference and it's the small things that really count and they help all the kind people in Evanston have wonderful adventures every day |
